Belize has been pretty much lucky when it comes to natural disasters. This year though we did get some minor damage in the southern parts of our country with hurricane Nana. Two months later we have a category 4 hurricane doing much damanage in Central American countries such as Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. While we did not experience the wind damanages of the hurricane we have gotten tremendous rainfall over the past few days.
Today, Eta moved on and is now a Tropical Depression heading northeast of Cuba. But, in her wake, there is widespread of flooding and some damage to infrastructure throughout the country. Below are some aerial pictures taken of my previous town where I used to live, and the one where I currently reside.
