Apparently some computers dating back to 2010 and earlier are not compatible with AF (Advanced Format) hard drives. Advanced Format is a generic term pertaining to any disk sector format used to store data on magnetic disks in hard disk drives (HDDs) that exceeds 512, 520, or 528 bytes per sector, such as the 4096, 4112, 4160, and 4224-byte (4 KB) sectors of the Advanced Format hard disk drives.
Thus when installing Windows you may encounter the error “Widows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer s hardware…” . I scratched my head on this for a while, but the following below did the trick.
Enter Keys - SHIFT + F10 |
This should force the installation to continue.
If the error reappears click on OK and let it restart the system, once restarted it should carry on with the installation.
